Vision
Healthy and Productive Communities Who Value Human Rights.
Mission
Empower individuals from the ethnic minorities, youth, the unemployed and economically inactive with the skills to improve their income status and create employment opportunities by adapting rural methodologies to the urban context that are user-friendly and improve project efficiencies.
Our Approach
TerraPro is a platform created for skilled individuals to mentor, train, and support ethnic minorities, the unemployed, and the economically inactive to enhance their access to income-generating training in horticulture to significantly improve their food security, financial status and contribute to the development of their communities.
We prefer to partner with charity sector organisations to provide access to an informal, structured continuing community development program. This partnership aims to an awareness of current approaches and skills necessary for effectively delivering projects.
The primary infrastructure we plan to develop is a multi-purpose workshop dedicated to our Research and Development activities, and company management, which focuses on the following areas:
Training
Entrepreneurs/Learners in urban agriculture and project management
Monitoring projects and providing technical support
Bridging producers with the market
Research and Development
1. Improving agricultural equipment, machinery, and accessories to adapt to changing technical innovations and environmental shifts that affect all-weather plant production in urban areas.
2. Testing and reporting on the effectiveness of agricultural equipment, machinery, and accessories aimed at enhancing production efficiencies.
3. Training entrepreneurs/learners .
Taking Collaborations to the Next level…
TerraPro-International believes that when stakeholders form a common interest group, then jointly reviewing project achievements and challenges helps to ensure a common understanding of the utilisation of budget, time and outcomes as they are presented, and discussed to arrive at the best solutions to realise project objectives.
Thus Terrapro encourages the creation of a Project Monitoring Committee for each project in which the members are (1) Donor/Sponsor Representative, (2) Director TerraPro-International, (3) Managers TerraPro-International, (4) Community Representative.
The Outcome of the periodic Project Review (Monitoring Reports) will be available to the community.
When economically inactive individuals have access to essential life skills training through a vocational program, they start businesses that contribute to the local economy and help them integrate with British Values.
