Mission
Empower individuals from ethnic minorities, youth, the unemployed and the economically inactive with the skills to improve their income status and create employment opportunities by adapting rural methodologies to the urban context that are user-friendly and improve project efficiencies.
TerraPro-International is registered with Companies House as a Company limited by Guarantee. We were registered on 14 November 2024.
The organisation is currently in the start-up stage and will remain at this stage until we reach a not-for-profit, not-for-loss stage. We aim to reach this stage by mid-2027 (fingers crossed!).
We currently have 2 Directors, both agriculture professionals, and continue to seek progressive, like-minded professionals to join the Board.

Our Approach
TerraPro is a platform for skilled individuals to mentor, train, and support ethnic minorities, the unemployed, and the economically inactive, improving access to income-generating horticulture training, strengthening household food security and financial status, and contributing to community development.
We prefer to partner with charity sector organisations to provide access to an informal, yet structured continuing community development program. This partnership aims to raise awareness of the current approaches and skills needed to deliver urban agriculture projects effectively.
We envision TerraPro developing into a company that provides access to an informal, yet structured, continuing community development program.
The two components of the organisation, namely Training and Research and Development, are designed to provide urban communities with access to a unique experience in which the training programme is underpinned by health and welfare good practice, while the anticipated multi-purpose workshop will share its time with the community’s DIY enthusiasts while pursuing our own objectives.

1. Improving agricultural equipment, machinery, and accessories to adapt to changing technical innovations and environmental shifts that affect all-weather plant production in urban areas.
2. Testing and reporting on the effectiveness of agricultural equipment, machinery, and accessories aimed at enhancing production efficiencies.
Taking Collaborations to the Next level…
TerraPro-International believes that when stakeholders form a common interest group, then jointly reviewing project achievements and challenges helps to ensure a common understanding of the utilisation of budget, time and outcomes as they are presented, and discussed to arrive at the best solutions to realise project objectives.
Thus Terrapro encourages the creation of a Project Monitoring Committee for each project in which the members are (1) Donor/Sponsor Representative, (2) Director TerraPro-International, (3) Managers TerraPro-International, (4) Community Representative.
The Outcome of the periodic Project Review (Monitoring Reports) will be available to the community.
When economically inactive individuals have access to essential life skills training through a vocational program, they start businesses that contribute to the local economy and help them integrate with British Values.
