TerraPro’s vocational programme shifts the focus from traditional, qualification-heavy schooling to a practical "learn-by-doing" methodology. By providing a functional understanding of plant production, we empower participants to immediately combat food insecurity, malnutrition, and poverty.
Our inclusive approach enables men, women, and children to actively improve their quality of life and integrate into their communities. We begin by anchoring learners in the fundamentals of plant biology, followed by the technical skills needed to launch and manage a successful home-based enterprise.

Active Mentorship: Four weeks of hands-on implementation support following initial training.

What’s included
The Foundation Course
TerraPro provides a 4-day training in horticulture that enables the learner to gain the skills, confidence and expertise required to manage crop production in the urban environment to first ensure household food security, then as a business selling surplus or gain employment with local businesses. Learners are supported during the training period with technical support and motivational visits, during which time technical support and guidance advice is provided.
The training is fully interactive and employs the ESOL technique to ensure maximum effectiveness and success.
End-of-Training Support
This is a programme that is mentored by a subject matter specialist who supports the entrepreneur to start their project during the 4 weeks of training.
The entrepreneur is supported on-line during the production process to ensure that process integrity is maintained and production targets, quality and marketing are achieved.
